Design thinking to navigate uncertainty

With our ever changing environment for work and play, I am reminded how valuable design thinking is to help us navigate uncertainty (many thanks to Jeanne Liedtka, thought leader in design thinking). Having the client/user at the center of all our thinking is our focus here at Aurecon as we aspire to embed design thinking across all our business.

One of the pre-requisites to participation however is having a growth mindset. The work to be done more than ever as an OD and learning professional surely is to support our stakeholders to develop this.

In Virginia university’s Coursera on design thinking we meet George and Geoff who each have a different mindset that leads to a different outcome for customers, their orientation to life and acceptance or fear of uncertainty in general. Are you a Geoff or a George?

The empowering thing is we have a choice!
